Taufik Abdullah, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of the Tourism Marketing Management Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). He has been a dedicated faculty member of UPI since 2014. Before joining the university, he gained valuable professional experience in various roles within the food service industry. Taufik began his academic journey with an associate degree in Food Production Management. Building on this foundation, he earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in Tourism Management. Driven by a deep curiosity about the complexities of tourism, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism at the University of Otago, New Zealand. His research interests focus on critical tourism studies, particularly issues related to marginalization, power dynamics, and empowerment within the tourism industry. Additionally, his work extends to the fields of tourism marketing, food tourism, and tourism entrepreneurship.
