Head of Sociology Education Study Program
The Sociology Education Study Program of FPIPS UPI was established on July 29, 2009. The establishment of the Sociology Education Study Program was based on efforts to meet the need for professional teachers in the subject of Sociology, which according to the results of a feasibility study found that Sociology learning at the school level had not been taught by teachers with a background in Sociology Education. Several figures who helped foster the Sociology Education Study Program include Prof. Dr. Sudardja Adiwikarta, Prof. Dr. Karim Suryadi, M.Si, Prof. Dr. R. Gurniwan KP, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Elly Malihah, M.Si.
The Master of Sociology Education Study Program was established in 2012, accredited international by AQAS. The profile of its graduates includes (1) producing Master of Sociology Education who are competent in the field of Sociology Education and are globally competitive; (2) producing professional researchers in the field of Sociology Education; (3) Producing Educational Consultants in the field of Social Society; (4) Producing networks and cooperation at the national and international levels in efforts to develop the Master of Sociology Education Study Program and analyze community needs. The world of work that can be filled includes lecturers, teachers, researchers, educational consultants, entrepreneurs. The strictness of the selection is that the number of registrations is greater than the capacity.
The Sociology Study Program has now achieved both national and international accreditation, reaffirming its commitment to providing high-quality education that meets global standards. With this achievement, graduates of the Sociology Study Program are increasingly competitive in the job market and have greater opportunities to contribute across various fields, both domestically and internationally.
The national accreditation was awarded by LAMDIK with an "EXCELLENT" rating for both the undergraduate (S1) and graduate (S2) Sociology Education programs. Meanwhile, international accreditation was granted by AQAS for both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Bagi saya kuliah di Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi memfasilitasi ruang untuk berkembang secara intelektual dan profesional. Selama masa studi S1 dan S2 saya mendapatkan kesempatan untuk belajar dalam kultur akademis yang sehat dimana diskusi ilmiah, kebebasan berpikir, dan kolaborasi menjadi bagian dari perkuliahan yang membentuk karakter dan etos kerja yang sangat dirasakan manfaatnya pada profesi saya saat ini.
