The Social Studies Education Study Program envisions itself as a leading and distinguished academic program in the field of social studies education, both nationally and internationally, by the year 2025. With this vision in mind, we are committed to fostering excellence in teaching, research, and community service. Based on this vision, the Social Sciences Education Study Program as an undergraduate education program carries the mission to:
Organizing leading and superior education at the national and international levels in producing prospective social studies educators with national cultural character with a target achievement in 2030.
Developing superior research in the field of Social Science Education as an effort to develop science and technology in local, national and international scopes.
Organizing community service through ongoing socialization and cooperation based on the dynamics of community needs for social studies education both at the local and national levels.
Building networks and cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions as an effort to expand the existence of the Social Sciences Education Study Program at the National and International levels.
Program Sarjana Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial UPI Bandung meraih status Unggul dari Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Kependidikan (LAMDIK), sebagaimana tertuang dalam SK No. 1105/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/XI/2023. Terhitung sejak 20 Februari 2024 hingga 19 Februari 2029, predikat ini mencerminkan dedikasi kami dalam menghadirkan proses pembelajaran inovatif, pengembangan kompetensi mahasiswa melalui praktik lapangan, serta kolaborasi riset yang berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. This award confirms that all academic aspects—from curriculum, lecturer competence, research facilities, to evaluation systems—have met the highest quality standards at the national level. With a validity period until February 19, 2029, this accreditation is a guarantee of quality for prospective students and institutional partners that Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia of Social Studies Bachelor graduates are ready to compete in the academic and professional arena.
The Master of Social Studies Education Program of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia has been awarded the Excellent Accreditation predicate by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) through Decree No. 3/SK/BAN-PT/Akred-PMT/M/I/2022. This award confirms that all academic aspects—from curriculum, lecturer competence, research facilities, to evaluation systems—have met the highest quality standards at the national level. The Communication Studies Program has established strategic partnerships with various institutions and organizations to enhance its educational offerings and provide students with valuable opportunities for practical experience and collaboration. Pendidikan Pariwisata mendapatkan Kunjungan dari Universitas Mulawarman Dalam rangka studi banding internasional acquin.
Mata kuliah Tata Hidang merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang ada di program studi pendidikan pariwisata di universitas pendidikan Indonesia mata kuliah ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam bidang pelayanan di F&B service.
Mata kuliah Front Office adalah mata kuliah yang fokus pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk mengelola dan memberikan layanan di bagian depan hotel (Front Office). Ini mencakup area seperti reservasi, resepsionis, concierge, dan operator telepon, yang semuanya berinteraksi langsung dengan tamu.
Pendidikan Pariwisata telah melakukan praktik Barista Class dalam melatih SoftSkill dan juga Hardskill mahasiswa pendidikan pariwisata untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam kesiapan dunia kerja!
Teaching practice in Japan was an eye-opening experience, but it also came with its own set of challenges:
1) Adapting to a New Teaching
EnvironmentTeaching in a different country means adjusting to a different classroom culture. At first, I was nervous about whether my teaching style would be effective, especially since English proficiency varied among students.
2) Handling a Tight Schedule
A particularly exhausting day was February 17th, which involved teaching three different classes with different subjects. Maintaining energy levels while delivering clear and engaging lessons throughout the day was a demanding task. Balancing lesson preparation, teaching, and personal reflection required strong time management skills.
3) Delivering Difficult Topics
Subjects like World War II were challenging to teach because they required deeper knowledge and careful explanation. I had to ensure that students understood the context while keeping the lesson engaging.
