Background

Currently, the development of geospatial technology and the utilization of geographic-based information technology is advancing very rapidly, requiring innovation and development in the form of a higher education institution that can accommodate this through the establishment of the Geographic Information Science (SaIG) study program.

SaIG produces graduates in geographic information science, equipping them with core competencies as professionals in the field of geographic information science who are ready to contribute practically to society, the nation, and the state.

SaIG graduates play an active role in solving territorial problems such as natural disaster mapping, natural resource exploitation, global and local environmental change, and regional planning that is crucial for national unity.
