Bandung, November 14, 2024 - The Civic Education Study Program (Civics) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia celebrated its 70th Anniversary with the theme “Civics United, Civics Forward” at the General Meeting Hall (BPU) Achmad Sanusi Building. The event began at 08.00 WIB and was attended by lecturers, students, alumni, and invited guests from the FPIPS UPI environment.
The participants wore batik as a symbol of unity and cohesiveness. This activity is a cross-generation gathering event as well as a moment of reflection on the contribution of Civics Study Program for seven decades in shaping character and national education.
Various activities were held to enliven this commemoration, ranging from Tasyakur Binikmah, Tumpeng Competition, Selection of Legal Civic Ambassadors, Choir Competition, to Art Creation Competition participated by students. The enthusiasm of the participants reflects the spirit of collaboration, kinship, and creativity that characterizes the Civics Study Program.
With the spirit of “Civics United, Civics Forward”, UPI Civics Study Program continues to be committed to producing a generation that is intelligent, critical, and characterized, and ready to face the challenges of the times through transformative and inclusive civic education.
