SPIG Program of the Faculty of Social Science, UPI Signs Cooperation Agreements with Five Strategic Partners
Bandung, June 18, 2025 – The Mapping Survey and Geographic Information Program (SPIG), under the Faculty of Social Science Education (FPIPS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), has signed Cooperation Agreements with five strategic partners from the geospatial technology and industry sectors. This milestone marks a strengthened commitment to bridging academic excellence with professional practices through the implementation of the Tridarma of Higher Education.
The five partner organizations involved in this signing are:
1. PT Leica Geosystems Indonesia
2. PT Jelajah Semesta Teknologi
3. CV Bagja Niaga Teknik
4. PT Bina Nusa Teknik
5. PT Pageo Utama
The signing ceremony took place at the Nu’man Somantri Building, FPIPS UPI, and was attended by university leaders, SPIG faculty members, and representatives from each company. The agreements aim to support the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program by facilitating collaborative activities such as student internships, curriculum development, applied research, equipment support, training programs, and community service.
Prof. Dr. Cecep Darmawan, S.H., S.IP., S.A.P., S.Pd., M.Si., M.H., CPM., Dean of FPIPS UPI, expressed his appreciation for the partnerships and conveyed optimism about the future impact of the collaboration.
With SPIG serving as the academic homebase, this initiative is expected to enhance graduate competencies, foster innovation, and build professional capacity in Indonesia’s growing geospatial sector.
