UPI Berjalan Serempak & Berdampak: Tourism Marketing Management Students Attend UPI’s 71st Anniversary Celebration

Bandung, November 7, 2025 , students of the Tourism Marketing Management study program at the Indonesian University of Education participated in the celebration of UPI's 71st anniversary. With great enthusiasm, we took part in the “UPI Walking Together and Making an Impact” activity, which began in the morning at the UPI Stadium field.

The event began with healthy exercises participated in by hundreds of students from various faculties along with other faculty members. We moved joyfully, following the instructions of the exercise trainer, while competing to deliver motivational slogans from each unit. “Today's activity is a positive activity for all of us,” said one of the participants, Aditya, a first-semester student in the Tourism Marketing Management program.

After the exercise, the event continued with a synchronized and impactful walk. Students and academic staff walked together around the campus, carrying banners reading “UPI Hejoo”. This synchronized walk was not just exercise, but also a symbol of the solidarity and enthusiasm of the UPI academic community in welcoming UPI's 71st anniversary.

The highlight of this activity was a clean-up action in the area around UPI and even the surrounding community. The academic community divided themselves into several units that would spread out to different areas to clean up trash on the streets, in parks, and in residential areas. We collected and sorted plastic waste, paper, and other debris, while reminding each other of the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the surrounding environment. "This is our contribution as tourism professionals who are aware of sustainability for the campus and the community environment."

This activity received full support from various university and community stakeholders, who viewed it as an insight into the character of the students. With active participation, UPI's simultaneous and impactful activities not only celebrate UPI's 71st anniversary but also instill values of teamwork and environmental awareness. Hopefully, such activities will continue for every future generation of UPI students.
