Tourism Marketing Management Class of 2024 Hosts Roadshow to Promote International Class and Fulfill Academic Project

Students of the Tourism Marketing Management Study Program, Class of 2024, conducted a roadshow activity aimed at introducing higher education and career opportunities in the tourism industry to senior high school students across Bandung and its surrounding areas. This initiative was designed to provide early exposure to university life and academic pathways in the tourism sector.

In this activity, the Class of 2024 students acted as the main organizers and representatives of the study program in delivering relevant and up-to-date information to prospective students. The roadshow was carried out through interactive presentations, question-and-answer sessions, and experience-sharing discussions about student life in the Tourism Marketing Management program.

The materials presented included an overview of the curriculum, career prospects in the tourism industry, practical learning experiences during university studies, and an introduction to the newly established International Class, which offers opportunities for students to gain globally standardized learning experiences.

The activity aimed to broaden students’ understanding of study options in tourism, encourage their interest in pursuing higher education, and introduce opportunities for competency development through international academic programs.

Participants involved in the activity included Class of 2024 students as organizers, partner schools as hosts, and senior high school students as the primary audience.
One of the sessions held at SMAN 9 Bandung received highly positive responses from students. Their enthusiasm was reflected in active participation during discussions, strong curiosity about university life, and significant interest in the International Class program. Overall, the roadshow was successfully conducted and provided meaningful experiences for both participants and student organizers.

This roadshow activity also aligns with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes inclusive access to quality education and educational awareness. Furthermore, the activity supports SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by introducing career opportunities in the tourism sector, as well as SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration between higher education institutions and secondary schools.

Through this initiative, it is expected that students will gain a clearer understanding of higher education pathways and be motivated to pursue further studies while preparing themselves to become globally competitive human resources in the tourism industry.
