Civic Education Study Program of UPI Conducts Community Service Workshop on Deep Learning Approaches at SMAN 1 Cikancung
Bandung, April 16, 2025 – As part of its community service program, the Civic Education Study Program of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) organized a workshop on Deep Learning Approaches in Teaching and Learning at SMAN 1 Cikancung. This workshop was designed to enhance teachers' pedagogical skills through the implementation of deep learning strategies in the classroom. The event was attended by high school teachers and education practitioners from various subjects.

The keynote speakers included:
- Prof. Dr. Dadang Sundawa, M.Pd.
- Prof. Dr. Kokom Komalasari, M.Pd.
Both speakers delivered insightful presentations on the theory and philosophy of deep learning, emphasizing its importance in nurturing critical thinking, meaningful learning experiences, and the development of student character.
The practical sessions and classroom implementation simulations were guided by:
- Dr. Iim Siti Masyitoh, M.Si.
- Dr. Asep Mahpudz, M.Si.

During these sessions, participants had the opportunity to design, present, and receive feedback on lesson plans that incorporate deep learning principles within the context of civic education and broader curriculum areas. This community engagement program reflects the ongoing commitment of the Civic Education Study Program at UPI to empower educators and promote innovative instructional practices that align with 21st-century learning goals.
