

Yogyakarta, April 29, 2025 – In an effort to enhance collaboration between universities and strengthen the academic discourse in civic and character education, the Civic Education Study Program (PPKn) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) successfully held a joint seminar entitled "Strengthening the Academic, Curricular, and Socio-cultural Dimensions in the Transformation of Pancasila and Civic Education."
This seminar, conducted as part of the Civic Education Seminar Course, took place at UAD's West Side Glass Room, 10th Floor, and gathered students and lecturers from both institutions. The event was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 08:00 to 12:00 WIB.
The event featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Triwahyuningsih, M.Hum, a lecturer from the Civic Education Department at UAD. She shared insightful perspectives on the integration of socio-cultural values and academic frameworks in transforming the learning of Pancasila and citizenship in the digital era.
In addition to the lecture, several student representatives served as presenters and discussants in the seminar. These included:
- Nurul Sidiqah – Student of Civic Education, UPI
- Syifa Fauziah – Student of Civic Education, UPI
- Aprilia Setianiingsih – Chairperson of HMPS PPKn UAD
- Hilmi Rizal Fadhillah – Chairperson of BEM HMCH UPI
The joint seminar provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and innovations in civic education, highlighting the importance of collaboration in building a future generation that is intellectually capable, morally grounded, and culturally aware.
The event is part of an ongoing series of academic collaborations aimed at enriching the Civic Education curriculum through cross-campus dialogue and best practice sharing. It also serves as a concrete step in preparing students to become critical, democratic, and socially responsible citizens.
