
Putra Putri Bumi Siliwangi (PPBS) is an annual event organized by the Student Activity Unit (PKM). Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) upholds the vision and mission of becoming a Leading and Outstanding university, meaning that students are expected to excel not only in academics but also in developing their interests and talents. The PPBS competition serves as a platform for students to explore their potential, actively contribute to campus image-building, and become ambassadors who represent UPI with pride and excellence.
On November 19, 2024, the prestigious Putra Putri Bumi Siliwangi (PPBS) Selection Event was successfully held at the Achmad Sanusi Building, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Carrying the theme “Deca Luxa Gloria”, which signifies celebrating and honoring ten glorious and radiant years, the event showcased UPI students' best talents, knowledge, and personalities.

Two students from the Catering Industry Management Study Program (MIK) achieved remarkable success at the 2024 PPBS (Putra Putri Bumi Siliwangi) event. Fikri Auladi Rachmat (2304781) was crowned Putra Terpilih Bumi Siliwangi 2024 (Selected Prince of Bumi Siliwangi), while Citra Dwi Rachman (2201939) earned the title of 1st Runner-Up Putri Bumi Siliwangi 2024 (Princess of Bumi Siliwangi). Their achievements in this prestigious competition are a source of pride not only for themselves but also for the entire MIK Study Program. This success stands as solid proof that MIK students can confidently showcase their potential and compete in university-level prestigious events.
to foster cultural appreciation, enhance public speaking skills, and build a generation of young leaders with strong character. The event brought together dozens of participants from various study programs across UPI. Contestants went through a rigorous selection process that included interviews, talent assessments, and evaluations of their knowledge of local and national culture.

Each finalist showcased their best and most captivating talents in front of the judges and audience. The atmosphere at the Achmad Sanusi Hall was vibrant and full of enthusiasm from both participants and their supporters. This excitement reflects the importance of events like PPBS in fostering solidarity and pride in local culture.

he outstanding achievements of these students are expected to inspire all students of the Catering Industry Management Study Program (MIK) to continue creating and contributing in similar events and beyond, both on and off campus. Moreover, this success reflects the full support of the MIK Study Program in nurturing and developing the talents and potential of its students.
