On November 13–16, 2024, ten students from the Catering Industry Management Program participated in the Salon International de l’Alimentation (SIAL) competition held at Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO). Organized by SIAL Group in collaboration with Krista Exhibitions, SIAL InterFOOD is Indonesia’s leading food and beverage exhibition, which has been running for 25 years. The collaboration between these two major forces in the food and beverage industry has made this exciting event a valuable platform that helps F&B companies break into the promising ASEAN market.
The La Cuisine cooking competition, a highlight of the event, attracted nearly 1,000 participants from various countries, showcasing culinary innovations by professional international chefs.
Today, students are required to be increasingly complex and competitive in order to thrive in both professional and social environments. Academic knowledge combined with practical skills and creativity serves as a valuable asset that enhances students’ adaptability and growth in diverse fields. One way to develop these competencies is by participating in both national and international competitions—just as the Catering Industry Management students recently did by taking part in the international competition The 6th La Cuisine 2024.
The students competed in a variety of categories, including Nasi Tumpeng, Traditional Jajanan Pasar, Sate Nusantara, Mignardises, Western Plated Dessert, Korean Beef Main Course, Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar), and Modern Jajanan Pasar.

- Vincentia Intan Deivara Ardine and Najma Nadira won the Silver Medal in the Nasi Tumpeng category.
- Ananda Aulya Alhaifa and Anggana Reksa Gentala Bayu won the Bronze Medal in the Traditional Jajanan Pasar category.
- Ananda Faiq Maulana received a Diploma (Honorable Mention) in the Sate Nusantara category.
- Najla Nazhifah received a Diploma (Honorable Mention) in the Mignardises category.
- Muhammad Rizqi received a Diploma (Honorable Mention) in the Western Plated Dessert category.
- Ragyssa Humaira received a Diploma (Honorable Mention) in the Korean Beef Main Course category.
- Mukti Restu received a Diploma (Honorable Mention) in the Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar) category.
- Sultan Prayoga received a Diploma (Honorable Mention) in the Modern Jajanan Pasar category.
The achievements of these students at The 6th La Cuisine 2024 serve as a powerful example that creativity, dedication, and talent can lead to outstanding accomplishments. With strong commitment and support from various stakeholders, we hope these achievements will continue and inspire other students to strive for excellence and embrace new challenges.

Finally, sincere appreciation goes to the students, supervising lecturers, and all parties involved for their contributions to this success. May this achievement inspire all students to continue creating, innovating, and developing their potential, bringing pride not only to themselves but also to the institution on both national and international stages.
