Closing of the 2025 National Education Festival (FESDIKNAS)
Strengthening Civic Literacy Through Creativity and Innovation
The 2025 National Education Festival (Fesdiknas), organized by the Civics Education Student Association of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, concluded successfully with an online closing ceremony held via Zoom. This event marked the announcement of the winners of the national essay and poster competitions—highlighting the creativity, critical thinking, and civic engagement of students from across Indonesia.
The event opened with remarks from key figures: Aura Sabrina Malika (Event Coordinator), Hilmi Rizal Fadhillah (Chairman of the Executive Board of BEM HMCH 2024/2025), Mrs. Pitria Sopianingsih, M.Pd. (Academic Advisor), and Dr. Syaifullah, S.Pd., M.Si. (Head of the Integrated Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Program in Civics Education).

2. 2nd Place – Alisha Azzahra (SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman)

1. 1st Place – Afifa Putri Fazila Andrianto, Dhafania Nazwatika, Shintya Meydiaz Gusmawati (Universitas Indonesia)

2. 2nd Place – Muhammad Rakha Fadhila, Ardiva Shafa Fitria Putri (Universitas Gadjah Mada)

3. 3rd Place – Fikri Dwi Novianto, Reza Aulia Nur Ahmad, Revan Dzakyano Wiguna (Institut Teknologi Bandung)
Essay Title: GATHERVATE: Revitalizing Virtual Civic Education Learning Based on Gather Town for the Intellectual Generation
The winners received certificates of appreciation presented by judges and academic representatives, as a form of recognition for their inspiring ideas and commitment to educational advancement.
Beyond competition, this festival served as a platform for reflection and a renewed commitment to education, nationhood, and youth empowerment. It showcased how the spirit of citizenship and creativity can thrive in synergy with technological innovation.
The Department of Civics Education at UPI continues to support student-led initiatives like FESDIKNAS, which foster intellectual development, civic values, and a deeper understanding of national issues among the younger generation.
