HIMA MPP UPI Empowerment Talk Promotes Self-Development and Career Readiness of the Younger Generation

Bandung, December 20, 2025 — The Advocacy Division of the Tourism Marketing Management Student Association (HIMA MPP), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, in collaboration with Youth Ranger Indonesia (YRI) West Java, organized an Empowerment Talk entitled “Rise Above: Quarter Life Is Real, but So Are You” on Saturday, December 20, 2025. The event was held at the Ahmad Sanusi Building, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and was attended by participants from among university students, high school students, and the general public.

The event began with a series of opening remarks as part of the formal opening. The first speech was delivered by the Chair of the Organizing Committee of the Empowerment Talk, who emphasized that the program was designed as an educational and reflective space to address the concerns of young people regarding personal development challenges and career readiness. The opening remarks were followed by a speech from the Head of the Advocacy Division of HIMA MPP, Dimas Prandika, who highlighted the importance of self-awareness, mental resilience, and students’ adaptability in facing the dynamics of modern life.

The opening session continued with remarks from Mr. Rijal Khaerani, M.Stat., a Student Affairs Lecturer at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the initiative taken by HIMA MPP students in organizing an event focused on soft skills development, mental health awareness, and the readiness of young generations to enter the professional world. According to him, the Empowerment Talk represents a tangible contribution of student organizations in supporting the holistic development of students’ character and capacity.

Following the opening session, the event was enlivened by a performance from Samira Dance, which added an element of entertainment before proceeding to the main discussion sessions.

The first session of the Empowerment Talk addressed the theme of Personal Branding, delivered by Nazihf Ubaidillah, a Personal Brand Coach and Content Creator. In his presentation, Nazihf emphasized the importance of recognizing one’s unique values, building an authentic personal image, and utilizing social media strategically and responsibly as a means of career development in the digital era.

The second session continued with a discussion on Quarter Life Crisis, presented by Anindytha Arsa, an educator, content creator, and public speaker. In this session, Anindytha invited participants to understand the quarter life crisis phenomenon as a natural transitional phase experienced by young people. Through a reflective approach and personal experiences, participants were encouraged to view this phase as a momentum for growth, learning, and self-discovery.

The entire discussion sessions were moderated by Indra Fauzi, Chair of Youth Ranger Indonesia (YRI) West Java. With a communicative moderation style, the discussion ran interactively and encouraged active participant engagement through a question-and-answer session.

Through this Empowerment Talk, HIMA MPP UPI hopes to make a positive contribution to increasing young people’s awareness of the importance of mental health, self-development, and readiness to face career challenges. This activity is expected to become part of the continuous efforts of student organizations in supporting the creation of adaptive, competitive, and well-characterized students.
