HMCH UPI Holds Civic Education Anthology Socialization: Raising Intellectual Property Awareness among Student (SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)

Bandung, September 15, 2025 – The Civics Law Student Association (HMCH) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) organized the Civic Education Anthology Socialization. The event was carried out through a door-to-door approach in every classroom of the Faculty of Social Science Education (FPIPS) UPI, allowing direct and interactive engagement with students.

This initiative marks an initial step in raising awareness of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among students, particularly regarding academic and creative works produced during their studies. Through this socialization, students are expected to better understand that every work holds intellectual value that should be protected, appreciated, and properly documented.

Furthermore, the Civic Education Anthology Socialization aims to encourage greater student participation in compiling and publishing their works. HMCH UPI envisions that student works will be systematically collected into an anthology, serving not only as an academic archive but also as a meaningful contribution to the development of civic education and social sciences.

The Chairperson of HMCH UPI emphasized that this program reflects the organization’s commitment to fostering a culture of literacy, productivity, and awareness of intellectual property among students. By compiling student works into an anthology, the initiative aspires to nurture civics law students who are more creative, competitive, and legally aware of their intellectual creations.
