MPP UPI Students Expand Their Academic Journey through AIMS Program in Thailand

International exposure continues to become part of the academic journey of students in the Tourism Marketing Management Study Program (MPP) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Through the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program, three MPP UPI students have the opportunity to experience academic life in Thailand.

Chantika Lutfiah, Tanaya Salma, and Jessica Audrey are currently undertaking their academic experience at Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. Their participation in the program provides an opportunity to study in a different academic environment while experiencing the social and cultural setting of another country.

Beyond classroom learning, studying abroad allows students to encounter different perspectives, practices, and ways of interacting within an international environment. Such experiences can contribute to the development of broader perspectives and intercultural understanding, particularly for students preparing to pursue careers in the tourism industry.

The experience also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education, which emphasizes inclusive and equitable quality education as well as opportunities for lifelong learning. Through international academic mobility, students are given opportunities to engage with diverse learning environments, broaden their knowledge, and develop competencies through cross-cultural experiences.

Through the AIMS program, the three MPP UPI students are taking an important step toward gaining international exposure and enriching their academic experience beyond the boundaries of their home institution.
