Outstanding Achievement! 20 UPI Commers Successfully Complete Bachelor’s Examination in January 2025

The Communication Studies Programme has once again conducted the Bachelor’s Examination for Communication Studies, scheduled for January 2025. This session took place on Thursday (30/1) at the Faculty of Social Science Education (FPIPS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). A total of 20 students from the batch of 2018–2020 participated in this significant academic milestone.

The session commenced with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Mamat Ruhimat, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FPIPS. In his speech, Prof. Mamat emphasised the challenges and dedication required to reach this stage.

“My dear Communication Studies students, I hereby open this session, acknowledging that each of you has fulfilled all academic requirements and demonstrated good conduct throughout your studies. Best of luck in defending your arguments before the examiners,” said Prof. Mamat.

The thesis examination proceeded smoothly and solemnly, with each participant receiving constructive feedback and assessments from their respective examiners. The session lasted nine hours, concluding with the judicium on the same day. The judicium session was attended by Dr. Ahmad Fahrul Muchtar Affandi, M.Si., Head of the Communication Studies Programme, and Dr. Wina Nurhayati Praja, M.Pd., Student Affairs Supervisor for the programme.

During the judicium, Tia Rachma Utamie, S.I.Kom., was announced as the top-performing graduate. Her research, titled “Analisis Pemanfaatan Media Digital pada Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar,” explored how special education institutions integrate digital media, examined through the lens of Communication Studies.

The judicium concluded with closing remarks from the Head of the Communication Studies Programme, congratulating the students on their academic journey.

“You have successfully defended your academic work. Take this joyous news home to your families and loved ones. Congratulations! As of today, you officially hold the title of S.I.Kom. (Bachelor of Communication Studies),” said Dr. Fahrul.
