PPKn Student Wins First Place and Best Speaker in Showcase Project Citizen

Bandung – The Civic Education (PPKn) Study Program in collaboration with the Sociology Education Study Program of FPIPS UPI successfully held the **Showcase Project Citizen** event on **Friday, June 13, 2025**, at the **6th Floor Auditorium, FPIPS UPI**. This activity was part of the implementation of the courses *Civic Learning Project* and *Sociology Learning Strategies*, serving as a platform for students to present ideas and real civic-based actions in response to social and civic issues.

The event was officially opened by the **Head of the Sociology Education Study Program**, **Dr. Wilodati, M.Si.**, who emphasized the importance of collaborative and transdisciplinary learning in fostering students’ social sensitivity and civic engagement in addressing contemporary challenges.

In this event, a student from the Civic Education Study Program, **Alya**, won **First Place** and was also awarded the title of **Best Speaker** for her project presentation titled *“No Student Left Behind, Hope Matters: Civic Action.”* The project highlighted the issue of educational inclusion and the involvement of vulnerable students in the learning process as a means of strengthening democratic values and civic participation from an early age.

The showcase featured various innovative student projects, including those addressing themes such as *Rainbow Underground: The Invisible Gay Community in Bandung* and *The Phenomenon of Living Together or Cohabitation*, presented by students from the Sociology Education Study Program.

The event was guided by lecturers **Prof. Dr. Dasim Budimansyah, S.Pd., M.Si.**, **Siti Komariah, M.Si., Ph.D.**, and **Nisrina Nurul Insani, M.Pd.**, and evaluated by a panel of judges comprising **Nindita Fajria Utami, S.Pd., M.Pd.**, **M. Resta Rizaldi M., S.Pd., M.Pd.**, and **Suriaman, S.Pd., M.Pd.**

The outstanding achievements of the PPKn students are a testament to the effectiveness of project-based learning approaches in cultivating critical thinking, public communication skills, and social awareness. The PPKn Study Program at FPIPS UPI extends its highest appreciation to all participating students and especially congratulates **Alya** for her remarkable accomplishments.
