Workshop on ACQUIN Accreditation Preparation: PPKn UPI Strengthens International Quality Standards

Bandung, June 17, 2025 – The Civic Education (PPKn) Study Program of the Faculty of Social Science Education (FPIPS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), conducted a Workshop on the Preparation for ACQUIN International Accreditation Visitation. The workshop took place at the Civic Education Laboratory, 4th Floor, FPIPS UPI, and was attended by faculty members and accreditation teams from the undergraduate (S1), master's (S2), and doctoral (S3) programs.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FPIPS, Prof. Dr. Cecep Darmawan, and featured two keynote speakers: Pupung Purnawarman, Ph.D. and Dr. Fitri Rahmafitria, M.Si. The workshop aimed to enhance the readiness of academic and administrative documents, particularly the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), course modules, and website integration, in preparation for the upcoming ACQUIN visitation scheduled for June 30 – July 1, 2025, both online and onsite.

Key points emphasized during the session included the completion and linking of SAR and course modules for all degree levels, integration of academic information into the program website, and compliance with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). In addition, participants received technical guidance on conducting virtual visitations via Zoom, managing breakout and waiting rooms, and preparing for interviews with foreign assessors, including academic experts and student representatives.

Highlights of the workshop:
- Finalization and submission of SAR and course modules for S1, S2, and S3;
- Website updates covering faculty profiles, research activities, and program facilities;
- Curriculum alignment with ESG standards and learning workload adjustments;
- Preparation of learning contracts and implementation of student-centered learning;
- Selection of interviewees from students, alumni, and faculty with strong communication skills;
- Coordination with supporting units such as IT, Library, and BKPK for integrated institutional information management.

Syaifullah, Head of the Civic Education Study Program, expressed his commitment to international quality assurance:

This workshop marks a strategic milestone in strengthening PPKn UPI's academic excellence and global competitiveness. With full participation from faculty and stakeholders, the study program is expected to navigate the accreditation process successfully and showcase its commitment to inclusive, high-quality, and internationally recognized civic education.
