On September 29, 2025, all study programs under the Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FPIPS) at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) that are members of M3DI—namely Tourism Marketing Management (MPP), Resort and Leisure Management (MRL), Catering Industry Management (MIK), Tourism Education (Dikpar), and Tourism Industry (Inpar)—will come together to celebrate World Tourism Day 2025. With the theme “Tourism for Future Generations,” the event will officially open with a welcome speech, a fashion show featuring the study programs' uniforms, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a collective commitment to strengthening the role of tourism in building a sustainable future.
The event then continued with inspirational presentations from international speakers. Dr. Ismail presented on Tourism Marketing in the Digital Space, while Dr. Monti shared insights on Global Cultural Tourism: Exploring Heritage, Traditions, and Modernity. These two sessions successfully enriched students' knowledge about global tourism industry developments, digitalization, and the importance of cultural preservation. In addition to scientific material, the celebration was also enlivened by artistic performances from each study program, such as traditional dances, choirs, and theater, as well as various interactive competitions such as Family 100 and band performances.
The highlight of the celebration, which reflected the spirit of solidarity and creativity, concluded with a parade and procession involving all M3DI study programs. Through the World Tourism Day 2025 event, M3DI FPIPS UPI emphasized the key message that the young generation of tourism is the hope of the nation for creating innovation and preserving culture. It is hoped that all UPI tourism students can become pioneers who collaborate, innovate, and make tangible contributions toward realizing sustainable tourism for future generations.
