MAGELANG – The academic community of the Communication Studies Study Programme at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) is celebrating a prestigious national achievement. Aldo Pranata Soeriakartalegawa, a student from the Class of 2024, has successfully secured First Place in the National Tidar Debating Competition (N-TDC) in the English Language category.
Competing under "Team Nonchalant," Aldo represented Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia alongside his teammate, Andre Reyvaldo Iglesias (Industrial Automation and Robotics Engineering Education). The competition was held at Universitas Tidar on May 2, 2026.

Alignment with SDGs: Quality Education and Global Competitiveness
This achievement is a clear manifestation of SDG 4 (Quality Education). By participating in high-level debating competitions, students develop critical thinking, public speaking, and English language proficiency skills that are essential for the modern global workforce. The Communication Studies Study Programme continues to foster an environment where students can apply theoretical knowledge to practical, competitive scenarios.
Furthermore, the collaboration between a Communication student and an Engineering student in "Team Nonchalant" highlights the spirit of SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). It demonstrates how interdisciplinary synergy and effective communication can lead to innovative problem-solving and collective success at a national level.
