The Tourism Marketing Management Student Association (HIMA MPP) at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI), through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Division, held a Technical Meeting (Ratek) on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. This event marked the final stage in finalizing preparations for the Community Service (P2M) program, which will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Gunung Halu, West Bandung Regency.

This technical meeting was a crucial agenda item for the entire organizing committee to ensure comprehensive readiness for the event. Based on the discussion, preparations for the P2M program have reached approximately 95 percent completion. Several key aspects such as human resource allocation, the development of the Program Rundown (ROP), and the selection of presenters have been finalized and are now entering the follow-up phase leading up to the event. In addition to focusing on technical readiness, this meeting also served as a space for reflection for the organizing committee to understand the essence of community service activities.

The executive chairperson, Karina Puspita, stated that this technical meeting is expected to serve as a final opportunity for the committee to truly understand the meaning of community service as well as the overall flow of the event’s implementation. “Hopefully, with this technical meeting which is the final one the organizing committee can gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of community service and fully grasp the flow of each activity,” she said. Furthermore, he also expressed his hope that this year’s P2M program would have a positive impact on all parties involved. “Hopefully, students and villagers will be able to feel the benefits of the community service activities carried out, and the entire series of events will run smoothly,” she added.

Through this activity, HIMA MPP UPI strives to implement the values of social responsibility while applying the knowledge students have gained in the classroom. P2M also serves as a tangible manifestation of students’ role as agents of change capable of making direct contributions to the community. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4: Quality Education through practice-based learning, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities in efforts to empower local communities.
