International Academic Experience Awaits MPP UPI Students through AIMS Program in South Korea

The opportunity to experience higher education in an international setting has also been embraced by Abigael Patricia and Wanda Ramadhan, students of the Tourism Marketing Management Study Program (MPP) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI).

As participants in the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program, Abigael and Wanda are continuing their academic journey at Youngsan University, South Korea. Their participation brings them into an academic environment that offers not only new learning experiences but also direct engagement with a different cultural setting.

Living and studying in another country encourages students to adapt to new environments, interact across cultural backgrounds, and gain perspectives that may not be encountered through learning at home. These experiences are particularly valuable for tourism students, whose future professional environments are closely connected to international interaction and cultural diversity.

Beyond academic and cultural experiences, participation in the AIMS program also reflects the broader commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education. International mobility provides students with opportunities to access diverse learning environments, develop new competencies, and strengthen their understanding through cross-cultural experiences.

For Abigael and Wanda, the AIMS program marks an opportunity to step beyond familiar academic surroundings while strengthening their international outlook. Their experience at Youngsan University reflects the commitment of MPP UPI students to continuously explore opportunities that broaden their knowledge, experiences, and readiness to engage with the global tourism industry.
