BANDUNG — Communication Studies held a virtual Practitioner Guest Lecture (Kuliah dengan Praktisi) for the Psychology Communication course on Friday, November 6, 2026. Attended by Class of 2025, the session featured prominent communication professional Berdit Zanzabela, S.Kom., M.Med.Kom., currently a TVRI National News Anchor and founder of Maestria.id.
The virtual session via Zoom was guided by the course's lecturer team, Bagus Aditya Susanto, M.I.Kom., and Muhammad Fikri, M.I.Kom. The session aimed to bridge conceptual theories of communication psychology with practical strategic digital execution.
During the lecture, Bela as she is warmly addressed shared in-depth insights regarding the community initiatives of Gramuda Sabudarta Indonesia (Generasi Muda Sadar Budaya dan Pariwisata Indonesia). This community case study serves as the foundational client for the students' Final Semester Project (UAS) in the Psychology Communication course.
Under this assignment, the students are tasked with designing and executing a social media reactivation strategy for Gramuda Sabudarta Indonesia's official Instagram account. Students are expected to craft contemporary digital content that resonates with modern audiences while staying true to the organization’s foundational values and psychological communication principles.
"Understanding audience psychology is key to creating digital content that genuinely connects with people," Bela explained during the lecture. "It is not just about producing trendy visual posts, but ensuring every message reflects organizational identity and triggers meaningful engagement."
Highlighting the importance of practical output in higher education, Bela encouraged students to view their course project as a stepping stone toward their future professional journeys.
"Use this assignment as an opportunity to build your best portfolio one that is not only useful today, but also serves as a positive track record for your future career in the communication industry," emphasized Bela in her closing remarks.
This practitioner session implicitly underscores UPI Communication Studies' commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by delivering experiential, work-ready learning, as well as Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by connecting academic instruction with industry leaders and community organizations.
Through initiatives like this, the students continue to gain dynamic exposure to real-world communication challenges, reinforcing their readiness to enter the professional landscape.
