Bandung, May 14, 2025 - Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) once again recorded a proud achievement through the success of one of its scientific journals, Jurnal CIVICUS, which won an award as a SINTA 3 accredited journal. This award was presented in the activity “Award Submission for SINTA Accredited Journal Managers” which took place at the UPI Postgraduate School Auditorium, Wednesday (5/14).
The award was given directly by the Rector of UPI, Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., to the three main managers of the CIVICUS Journal from the Faculty of Social Science Education (FPIPS), namely:
- Sarah Fadilah Zein
- Akhmad Fauzi
- Pitria Sopianingsih
This award is a form of institutional appreciation for the dedication and contribution of the management team in maintaining the quality and sustainability of scientific journals, both in terms of article substance and publication governance.
“This achievement is proof that collaboration and strong commitment in journal management can produce quality and impactful academic output. We hope that CIVICUS can continue to grow and improve its ranking in the future,” said Dr. Pitria Sopianingsih.
CIVICUS is a scientific journal managed by the FPIPS UPI Civic Education Study Program and has become an important reference in the development of civic studies, character education, and civic engagement. CIVICUS Journal is a scientific journal managed by the Civic Education Study Program of FPIPS UPI and has become an important reference in the development of civic studies, character education, and civic engagement. With SINTA 3 accreditation, this journal is expected to further strengthen UPI's position in the national scientific publication ecosystem.
