Open Visit UPI 2026: MPP Study Program Contributes to Higher Education Outreach and SDGs

Bandung, January 31, 2026 – The Management of Tourism Marketing (MPP) Study Program actively participated in Open Visit UPI 2026, an annual event organized by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Gymnasium Building, Bumi Siliwangi Campus, Bandung.

Open Visit UPI is designed to introduce prospective students to the university environment, study programs, and admission pathways. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from thousands of high school and vocational school students who visited faculty and program booths to obtain comprehensive information about higher education opportunities at UPI.

As part of the event, the MPP Study Program presented an information booth showcasing its curriculum, career prospects, academic activities, research opportunities, and student achievements. Lecturers and students of MPP engaged directly with visitors, providing insights into the dynamic field of tourism marketing and its relevance to future industry demands.

Through its participation, the MPP Study Program also demonstrated its commitment to supporting several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 4 – Quality Education

Open Visit UPI 2026 provided inclusive access to higher education information for students from diverse backgrounds. The participation of MPP served as an educational platform to encourage awareness of the importance of quality and relevant higher education aligned with global workforce needs.

SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth

By introducing career pathways in tourism and marketing, MPP highlighted the role of education in preparing graduates for professional careers that contribute to sustainable economic growth, particularly within the tourism sector.

SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

The collaboration between the university, study programs, students, and the broader community during Open Visit reflects the importance of partnerships in strengthening sustainable education systems in Indonesia.

Beyond being an admission outreach event, Open Visit UPI 2026 served as a meaningful platform for interaction between academia and society. The participation of the MPP Study Program reaffirmed its commitment to delivering impactful education and contributing to sustainable development through the empowerment of future tourism professionals.
