Bandung – Monday, June 30, 2025. The Civic Education (PPKn) Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) welcomed a visitation from the international accreditation team of ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute). This visit was part of the international accreditation process for the social sciences cluster conducted within the Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FPIPS) at UPI.
Three key representatives from ACQUIN attended the visit in person: Dr. Michael Mayer (International Accreditation Consultant and Supervisor of the Procedure by ACQUIN), Christopher Bohlens (Student Representative), and Martin Borg (Representative of Professional Practice). They observed various academic activities, learning atmospheres, and supporting facilities at the PPKn Study Program.
During the visitation process, the ACQUIN team was accompanied by the Dean of FPIPS, Prof. Dr. Cecep Darmawan, S.H., S.I.P., S.A.P., S.Pd., M.Si., M.H., CPM, and the Head of the PPKn Study Program, Dr. Syaifullah, M.Si.

One of the highlights of the visit was a direct observation in the Civic Education Laboratory, where students were engaged in a project-based learning activity through the screening of a film themed on the values of Pancasila. This was followed by a reflective discussion, encouraging students to explore the meaning of Pancasila and its relevance in national life. The discussion also emphasized the strategic role of civic education in shaping democratic and civil national character.
This visitation is expected to not only strengthen the academic governance of the PPKn Study Program, but also serve as a significant milestone in the program’s internationalization efforts and enhance global trust in the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
