The Tourism Marketing Management (MPP) Program successfully held a Student On-the-Job Training (OJT) Seminar on Monday, May 25, 2026. This event served as a platform for students to present their experiences, learning outcomes, and findings during their OJT placements at various tourism institutions and industries.
A total of 90 OJT participants, divided into 8 groups, attended the seminar in parallel sessions. The seminar was held at several locations: four rooms in the FPIPS Building at UPI, two rooms in the UPI Graduate School Building, and one virtual meeting room via Zoom. The online session was specifically facilitated for students currently conducting their OJT outside of Bandung, such as in Bali, Palembang, Banyuwangi, and several other major cities.
Through this seminar, students presented various professional experiences gained during their fieldwork, ranging from tourism destination management, hospitality industry services, digital tourism marketing, to communication strategies and customer service. In addition to serving as a platform for academic evaluation, this activity also aims to enhance students’ presentation skills, critical thinking, and the sharing of experiences among peers.
The seminar was conducted in an enthusiastic and interactive manner. The faculty advisors provided feedback, evaluations, and recognition of the students’ achievements during their on-the-job training. With the successful completion of this event, the MPP Program hopes that students will be better prepared to enter the workforce and able to apply their academic competencies professionally in the tourism industry.
