Bandung, 30 November 2025 – In an effort to expand and strengthen international cooperation, three lecturers from the Catering Industry Management Study Program (MIK) of the Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FPIPS) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) conducted a working visit to Malaysia. The delegation consisted of Dr. Woro Priatini, S.Pd., M.Si, Risya Ladiva Bridha, S.Par., MM.Par, and Dias Pratami Putri, S.Pd., M.Si. The activities took place over four days, from Wednesday to Saturday, 26–29 November 2025, in Kuala Lumpur and Puncak Alam, Malaysia.
The visit aimed to explore and establish concrete collaborations in implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education—Education, Research, and Community Service—with two leading universities in Malaysia.
First Day: Arrival and Preparation
The team arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, and proceeded directly to their accommodation to prepare for the series of meetings scheduled for the following days.
Second Day: Building Synergy with UCSI University
On Thursday, 27 November 2025, the MIK UPI delegation visited the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at UCSI University. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Mohd Salehuddin Mohd Zahri, Assistant Professor Nursyafiqah Binti Ramli (Head of Research and Postgraduate Studies), and Nazatul Naimah Zulkifly (Head of Department). Intensive discussions yielded several preliminary agreements, including:

- Education: Cooperation in student exchange, summer courses, and lecturer exchange.
- Research: Conducting joint research focusing on sustainability and preservation of traditional food.
- Community Service: Carrying out community service activities in tourism villages.

Third Day: Expanding Collaboration with UiTM Puncak Alam
On Friday, 28 November 2025, the team visited the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Puncak Alam. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Dr. Norzuwana Sumarjan (Dean), Assoc. Professor Dr. Azdel Abdul Aziz (Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs), and Prof. Madya Dr. Tuan Ahmad Tuan Ismail. The outcomes of the discussion included:
- Education: Collaborative teaching, seminar speaking engagements, joint conferences, as well as student and lecturer exchange.
- Research: Initiating joint research starting from small-scale projects.
- Community Service: Implementing international community service programs.
To formalize the agreements with both universities, the draft Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) is currently in the final review process by each party.

Fourth Day: Return
The MIK UPI delegation returned to Indonesia on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at 5:00 PM Western Indonesian Time, bringing back several cooperation commitments to be followed up promptly.
This activity is expected to serve as a strong foundation for improving the quality and international competitiveness of the Catering Industry Management Study Program, FPIPS UPI, in the future.
