Bandung, July 2025 — A proud achievement has been made by one of the students from the Civic Education Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). William Ishaq Juarsyah Gusti N, a student from the 2023/2024 cohort, has been officially elected as the Commander of the Student Regiment (Resimen Mahasiswa/Menwa) Mahawarman Battalion XI/UPI for the 2025/2026 period.

This appointment reflects the outstanding leadership, discipline, and spirit of national defense exemplified by William. He has demonstrated high dedication in student activities, especially in Menwa, an organization under the supervision of the Directorate of Student Affairs at UPI.

Menwa Mahawarman is a strategic student unit tasked with fostering leadership and patriotic character among young generations. William's election as commander signifies strong trust from his peers and advisors in his ability and integrity to lead.

Dr. Syaifullah, M.Si., the Head of the Integrated Civic Education Program (Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral), expressed his appreciation for the achievement. "We are proud of what William has accomplished. This is a true representation of a Civic Education student who embodies resilience, nationalism, and readiness to contribute to the nation," he stated.
