Bandung, September 25, 2025 – A remarkable achievement was made by the Civic Education (PKn) Lecturers Team of FPIPS Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), who won the 3rd Best Paper Award at the prestigious 4th International Conference on Media and Social Sciences (iCOMS2025).
The award was granted for their scientific article entitled “The Role of Civic Education in Cultivating Responsible Digital Communication Among Elementary School Students”. The paper highlights the crucial role of civic education in fostering awareness of responsible digital communication from an early age, particularly among elementary school students, in response to the growing ethical challenges within the digital sphere.

This research was authored by the Civic Education lecturers team consisting of Intan Indah Megasari, Syaifullah, Mursyid Setiawan, and Dadi Mulyadi Nugraha. This accomplishment not only brings pride to FPIPS UPI but also strengthens the contribution of Indonesian academics in the international arena, particularly in the fields of civic education and digital literacy.
Through this achievement, it is expected that more innovative research will emerge from UPI’s academic community to address contemporary challenges, while supporting UPI’s vision as a leading university in the advancement of educational sciences and technology at the global level.
