On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the Tourism Marketing Management (MPP) Study Program at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) took part in the Faculty-level Campus Orientation and Public Lecture (Mokaku) held by FPIPS. The event began at 07.00 a.m. in the UPI Gymnasium with an atmosphere full of enthusiasm from the new students.
The excitement grew at 09.30 a.m. with performances by outstanding students, including Agim Abdul Hakim from the MPP Study Program, who has brought pride to the department through his achievements both at the national and international levels.
In the afternoon session, at 01.00 p.m., new students were directed to the FPIPS Building for a more in-depth introduction to the MPP Study Program. Carrying the theme “Initiating Savvy Process to Shift Together with MPP (INSIGHT),” this agenda was designed not only as an introduction but also as a character-building process. Through this activity, freshmen were introduced to the lecturers, the study program profile, academic system, student organizations, and the MPP Student Association. In addition, students also received important material on the prevention of bullying and sexual violence as a form of the university’s commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Beyond academic introduction, this activity also aimed to instill the values of sustainability, collaboration, and integrity from the very beginning of students’ university journey. This aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education (https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal4) and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal16), which emphasize the importance of quality education and a safe learning environment for all students.
