
Collaboration between Civic Education Study Program UPI and MGMP Civic Education SMA Subang
Subang, August 21, 2025 — The Civic Education Study Program (PPKn) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Faculty of Social Science Education, in collaboration with the MGMP Civic Education Teachers Association of Senior High Schools in Subang Regency, held a Community Service Program through Interactive 'Wordwall' Training with a Deep Learning Approach.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Rahmat, M.Si., who highlighted the urgency of innovative Civic Education learning that integrates digital technology and the deep learning approach. According to him, teachers need to design learning that is not only informative but also fosters digital citizenship, critical reflection, and moral intelligence among students.
In her remarks, Ms. Neneng Kaniawati, Chair of MGMP Civic Education Subang, expressed her appreciation for this collaboration as a meaningful step to improve the professional capacity of Civic Education teachers in facing the challenges of the digital era.
Main Speakers
The training featured three distinguished speakers:
• Prof. Dr. Rahmat, M.Si.
• Prof. Dr. Prayoga Bestari, S.Pd., M.Si.
• Nisrina Nurul Insani, M.Pd.

They delivered conceptual insights and hands-on practice on how to integrate Wordwall into Civic Education learning with a deep learning framework. Teachers were guided to design digital learning media that encourage students to build deep understanding, practice critical and creative thinking, and apply Pancasila values in everyday life.
Facilitators
To support the workshop sessions, two facilitators were actively involved:
• Dr. Dede Iswandi, M.Pd.
• Pitria Sopianingsih, M.Pd.
The facilitators provided technical guidance during practice, assisted participants in producing interactive digital media, and ensured that the outcomes aligned with learning objectives and deep learning principles.
Teacher Engagement
The training, held at SMAN 4 Subang Hall, was attended by Civic Education teachers from various senior high schools in Subang Regency. Participants showed high enthusiasm as they gained new experiences in creating Wordwall-based digital learning games that are engaging, applicable, and relevant to today’s students in the digital society.
Through this collaboration between the Civic Education Study Program of UPI and MGMP Civic Education Subang, the program is expected to strengthen an educational ecosystem that is innovative, interactive, and meaningful, while preparing Civic Education teachers to meet the challenges of Society 5.0.
