Bandung, September 4, 2024 – The Catering Industry Management Study Program (MIK) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) held a Beauty and Handsome Class for the 2023 student cohort. The event took place in the 6th Floor Auditorium of FPIPS UPI and featured collaborations with Pixy for the beauty class session and Gatsby for the handsome class session. This activity aimed to support students' personal development, particularly in achieving a professional appearance aligned with the demands of the hospitality and tourism industries.

During the beauty class, the Pixy team provided tutorials and tips on skincare and basic makeup suitable for professional and formal settings. Meanwhile, the handsome class session led by Gatsby focused on hair care and grooming techniques to help male students maintain a clean, confident, and polished look.

In addition to appearance training, the event also included an etiquette session delivered by the MIK faculty team. This session covered topics such as communication etiquette, professional conduct in the workplace, and how to respond appropriately to various situations. Students were given a deeper understanding of the importance of etiquette and appearance as essential soft skills that serve as added value when entering the professional world.

The 2023 student cohort showed great enthusiasm throughout the event. With support from Pixy and Gatsby, the students are expected to be better prepared in maintaining a polished appearance and professional demeanor as future practitioners in the hospitality industry. This event also reflects MIK’s commitment to enhancing students’ competencies not only in technical skills but also in crucial non-technical aspects required in the workplace.
