Communication Studies Study Programme Celebrates Top Alumnae at Wave II Graduation 2026

BANDUNG - Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) officially held its Wave II Graduation Ceremony for 2026 at the UPI Gymnasium Building, celebrating the academic and personal achievements of its graduates. Amidst the grand celebration of 1,793 graduates from various disciplines, the Communication Studies Study Programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FPIPS) UPI put a special spotlight on its outstanding female graduates: Karina Salsa Sabila, S.I.Kom., Puteri Salsabila, S.I.Kom., and Putri Amara, S.I.Kom.

As the communication and media industry grows increasingly dynamic, these three alumnae have successfully completed their rigorous academic journey. They have been fully equipped with professional certifications, leadership skills, and strategic communication expertise to make a tangible impact in the professional world.

 

Advancing Gender Equality in the Media Industry (SDG 5: Gender Equality)

The graduation of Karina, Puteri, and Putri represents a significant milestone in advancing SDG 5 (Gender Equality), specifically in fostering women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership in the digital and communication sectors.

By nurturing highly skilled female communicators, the Communication Studies Study Programme actively breaks barriers in an industry that increasingly demands diverse, empathetic, and inclusive perspectives. These wisudawati are prepared to take on strategic roles, shaping progressive media narratives and leading communication initiatives that champion equality.

Empowered and ready to inspire: Karina, Puteri, and Putri, sharing smiles and capturing memories as they prepare to make an impact in the professional communication landscape.

Fostering High-Quality Education and Professional Growth (SDG 4 & SDG 8)

Their achievements also reflect the success of SDG 4 (Quality Education) within the department. Throughout their studies, these alumnae underwent intensive competency development and practical training, bridging the gap between academic theory and industry demands.

This comprehensive preparation ensures their readiness for SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Equipped with solid professional networks and multidisciplinary skills, they are set to enter the workforce as competitive professionals capable of driving innovative economic growth in the creative and media sectors.

As they transition from students to alumnae, Karina, Puteri, and Putri carry the responsibility of utilizing their communication mastery to inspire communities, advocate for ethical media practices, and bring positive transformation to society.
