Bandung, April 8, 2026 – A warm and heartfelt atmosphere filled the Halal Bihalal gathering of the Tourism Study Programs family at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. This moment served as a long-awaited opportunity for reunion after the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, as well as a space to strengthen relationships among UPI’s tourism lecturers.
The event was attended by lecturers from various tourism-related study programs, including Tourism Marketing Management (MPP), Resort and Leisure Management (MRL), Catering Industry Management (MIK), and Tourism Education. The presence of participants from across programs created a friendly, relaxed, and story-filled atmosphere.
The event began with an opening speech by Dr. Fitri Rahmafitria, Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance at FPIPS UPI. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of maintaining togetherness as a foundation for building future collaboration.
“Moments like this are not only about forgiving one another, but also about strengthening synergy among study programs so that we can move forward together in facing future challenges,” she stated.
The atmosphere grew more solemn during the tausiyah session delivered by Agus Sudono, M.M., a lecturer from the Catering Industry Management program. With a light yet meaningful delivery style, he invited all participants to reflect more deeply on the essence of halal bihalal.
“Halal bihalal is a moment to cleanse the heart. When our hearts are pure, our work will also be more sincere and filled with blessings,” he expressed.
Following the reflection session, the event continued with a friendly gathering, which became a favorite moment for casual conversations, sharing stories, and strengthening personal bonds among lecturers. Laughter filled the room during the prize games session, aimed at fostering interaction, lightening the atmosphere, and bringing positive energy to the gathering.
This event was not only a reunion but also strengthened the sense of family within UPI’s tourism community. It is hoped that the togetherness built during this occasion will continue in the form of meaningful collaborations, whether in academic activities, research, or community service.
With renewed spirit after Eid al-Fitr, the UPI tourism family is ready to move forward more solidly, cohesively, and with greater impact.
